Born and raised in the Central Valley of California, it's no mistake that he lived in the area where Merle Haggard spent a lot of time and played many dive spots with his amplified country sound.
It was his interest in recording a rag-tag 4-song EP called Codeine by a group he called PC & The Angels Of Death (to set themselves apart) which got him attention.
